I’m not going to tell you who to vote for, much as I’d like to. But I will say, as a parent, prospective or otherwise, once you get into that voting booth you’re making decisions for the future. Not really your future, but the future of your child or children. Sitting at home, saying ‘they’re all the same’ or ‘it makes no difference’ belies the fact that not only is the future worth fighting for, we also have to demonstrate that fact to our children through action. Even if the act of voting is only a small contribution to that fight, it’s still a contribution. And I think that’s an example I want to show my children.
